Explanation
Mark 11:6 sits in the middle of the account of Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Just before this verse, Jesus had sent two of his disciples ahead into a village, telling them they would find a young donkey tied there, that they should untie it and bring it to him, and that if anyone questioned what they were doing, they should simply say, "The Lord needs it, and immediately he will send it back here." Verse 6 reports the outcome: the disciples went, found things exactly as Jesus had described, spoke the exact words he had given them, and the owners let them take the animal without further objection. In plain language, it simply means the disciples did what Jesus told them to do, said what he told them to say, and it worked out precisely as he said it would.
