Bible Verses About Suffering

The Bible does not explain suffering away. The book of Job is the longest wrestling with it in all of Scripture, and it ends without a tidy answer. What the Bible does offer is presence, meaning, and the promise that suffering is not the final word.

Romans 5:31

"Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;"

We glory in our sufferings — because of what they produce, not despite the pain.
