A Prayer for Someone Who Doesn't Know God
Praying for someone's faith is one of the most significant things a Christian can do for another person. Paul prayed for specific people by name. Scripture is full of prayers for others' salvation. This prayer follows that tradition.
Prayer
Lord,
I bring [name] to you. You know them better than I do. You know what they are carrying, what questions they haven't said out loud, what would need to shift for them to see you clearly.
I am not asking you to override their will. I am asking you to draw them. To arrange moments of clarity. To put people in their path. To be patient with their questions — as you have been patient with mine.
Remove what is blinding them, Lord. The hurt from the church. The intellectual objections. The busyness that keeps the big questions at arm's length. Whatever it is — you know it.
And help me to be a good witness. Not by winning an argument, but by living in a way that makes them curious about what I have found.
I trust you with this person. I have done what I can do. Do what only you can do.
Amen.
Draws from John 6:44, 2 Corinthians 4:4, and 1 Timothy 2:1-4. Intentionally leaves space for the person's name. This prayer holds together bold intercession and respect for human freedom.

"in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them."
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers — Paul on why people don't see.
1 Timothy 2:4
"who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
God wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Romans 10:14
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?"
How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
